Since the devastating financial crisis in 2001, most airlines in Argentina offer strongly discounted fares to argentine residents on domestic flights. Because airlines still need to cover their costs, they apply an international price to foreign tourists visiting the country. However, if you choose to buy your ticket over the internet, or at your local Aerolineas Argentinas office, you can easily save some dollars over the tourist fares charged once you are in Argentina. Also, special discounts are applied if you choose Aerolineas Argentinas for your international flight too.
Check www.aerolineas.com.ar for more information on the sales offices in your area. Please note that the prices published at the argentine version of their website are only valid for argentine residents!
