Getting to Salinas Grandes

No regular bus service exists for Salinas Grandes, so you need to either book a tour with a travel agency or rent a car for the drive.
Many travel agencies in Salta include a visit to the Salinas Grandes either in their Humahuaca Tour or in their “Road to the Clouds” tour.
If you choose to rent a car, you can reach the Salinas on the famous Route 40 from San Antonio de los Cobres [ ] , or route Nº 52, if coming from Purmamarca [ ] .
