In a scenery dominated by dryness and loneliness, the National Park Los Cardones offers a touch of nature at 9000 feet above sea level.

But the unquestioned main attraction in this region is the magnificent Train to the Clouds -called this way because during the journey the train actually drives through the clouds!
This impressive piece of engineering ascends almost 10,000 feet from Salta until San Antonio de los Cobres [ ] , of course passing by the spectacular Viaducto de la Polvorilla [ ] , at 13,000ft above sea level. You simple can't miss this journey: it will be a delight for your senses and a unique and unforgettable experience!

A visit to the Argentine Northwest is, above all, a journey into the past. A past that becomes evident in the ruins of Tilcara [ ] , Tastil and Quilmes among others, and that allows tourists to learn about the life and culture of pre-hispanic

civilizations. But the past is also ubiquitous in the buildings and houses in the mountain towns as well as in the traditions and culture of its inhabitants.
As you know, no real trip is complete without tasting the typical foods and beverages from the region. In Northern Argentina, the best option is to visit the traditional "peñas", where you will be able to taste the exquisite empanadas, tamales, humita or chivitos accompanied by excellent wine from Cafayate.
