Getting to Purmamarca

Purmamarca is located close to the National Route Nº 9 and is usually included in the “Quebrada de Humahuaca” tours offered by most travelling agencies.

By Bus

Several companies drive to Purmamarca everyday from the Bus Terminal at San Salvador de Jujuy.
The buses drive along the National Route Nº 9, which runs through the Quebrada de Humahuaca and stops by all towns along the Quebrada. So you can just take keep taking the bus to travel from town to town.
Take into account that Purmamarca is actually located 3km away off the route, and that no regular transportation services covers this distance. Thus, it is advisable to contact a local taxi service and ask them to pick you up as you get out of the bus.
